Download volume in pdf About this book This historic volume, part of the "Transdisciplinarity Today" collection, is a compilation of contributions presented at the online symposium "For an International Transdisciplinary Chair," organized by the International Center for Transdisciplinary Research and Studies (CIRET) from March 21-25, 2024, in Paris. The event started the celebration of thirty years since the signing of the "Charter of Transdisciplinarity," an essential document that has defined the direction of transdisciplinary collaboration and understanding. In this special year, profound gratitude and sincere appreciation are expressed to the members of the drafting committee who contributed to the creation of the "Charter of Transdisciplinarity": Basarab Nicolescu, Edgar Morin, and Lima de Freitas✝️. Without their tireless work and dedication to the principles of transdisciplinarity, this valuable document would not have existed. They are joined by those who today contribute to modern developments. Over the past thirty years, the principles established in the Charter have inspired numerous initiatives and projects, building bridges between sciences, arts, and humanities, encouraging dialogue and respect for cultural diversity, and cultivating an open and tolerant attitude. The volume emphasizes the importance of transdisciplinarity across various fields, from education and science to economics and law, and further to solving individual and organisational problems. It explores how universities can advance knowledge through transdisciplinary chairs, contributing to the shift in global perspectives and the development of collective wisdom. The work addresses the integration of the economics of care and meaningfulness, as well as the design of a transdisciplinary legal curriculum that combines social, technological, and ethical considerations. Additionally, it proposes a new paradigm for organisational leadership through transdisciplinarity and underscores the importance of human dignity in the education of the future, exploring experiences that blend art and science to transcend conventional boundaries. |

Specifics of Human Trafficking Crime Investigation
Download volume in pdf About this book Trafficking in human beings can be considered a multidimensional crime and an illegal business, which can undermine the rule of law and create instability. As a global phenomenon, it is considered a modern or contemporary form of slavery, which has profound social and economic implications, affecting on the one hand, the security of the state, and on the other, fundamental human rights and the dignity of the victim. For this reason it is called a form of inhumane trade, which in turn can be present in any country. Trafficking in human beings is a crime that destroys lives, violates the dignity, freedom and fundamental rights of the victims. It is often a violent crime committed by organised criminal networks, which should not exist in today's society. However, human trafficking is a global phenomenon. It exists in every country, in every region and it still exists in the EU. |

Legal treatment standards for international investments. Publishing House: ADJURIS – International Academic Publisher
Download volume in pdf About this book Discussing the standards of legal treatment for international investment, means subjecting the law branch in its entirety to research. Representing the most comprehensive part, of particular importance for international investment law, treatment standards continue to generate a series of differentiations whose understanding and approach often require the analysis of the starting points that led to the emergence, by division, of this branch of law. International investment treatment standards represent or should represent the direct effect of the principles of international investment law, thus being their expression, with a pronounced logical affinity between them. Specifically, they are not confused with the principles, but they are the practical reflection at the level of rights and obligations, applicable to the performers in this field, in the highlight of the theoretical-practical aspect, having a customary origin, as well as the principles underlying their development. Following this logic and analyzing the situation of the latest investment treaties, it turns out that there is an insufficiency in the preponderance of treatment standards, compared to the principles, much more numerous and constantly expanding, of this field of law. The specificity of this branch of law consists in the emphasis on its fundamental concepts, essentializing what determines the whole, being considered as a science of essentialization and, ultimately, the role of any method of scientific research is to analyze, discover and highlight what this branch of law represents, as a whole, what determines it, the connections of this ensemble with other sciences, the composition and structuring of the system and the substantiation of the connections between its components. The standards of legal treatment of international investments settled with the individualization of international investment law. Their appearance took place gradually, depending on the path marked by the stages of emergence and evolution of the legal regime of foreign investment, from the legal phenomenon to the branch of law, from trade in general to foreign investment in particular. In all of this, legal scientific research plays a key role because any codification activity must be scientifically substantiated. Any codification policy must ensure a balance between the diachrony and the synchrony of international investment law (between the dynamics and the statics of this law). A complete analysis of the treatment standards of international investments can be performed only by a close correlation because the singular existence of a standard specific to this field is excluded from the start. The importance of establishing and existence of eloquent and integrated treatment standards is a condition for survival under international economic crises. The main feature of this monograph is to present the subject in a way that is as easy to understand as possible to study and apply such rules, being a very useful and valuable material for students, masters, doctoral students, theoreticians and practitioners. |

Download volume in pdf About this book The book presents some selected thoughts and writings about the creation of the State of Scanderbeg and the law applied during the life of this state. At the center of the paper is presented the way and the reasons which led towards the creation of the state of Scanderbeg along with the main features of this state, including state institutions, as well as the law created and applied in the territories of this state. The authors contextualize this within the framework of the work that was done by several known authors that have dealt with Scanderbeg. European Merger Control Indexing: |

Download volume in pdf About this book Modern European Merger Control Policy is the result of a compelling evolution as, throughout the course of time, the underlying objectives guiding its enforcement have been influenced by different school of thoughts, decisions of the bodies supervising the competition, Commission at EU level and national authorities at the state level, and, of course, the economic evolution of the continent. As a consequence, the European institutions together with the Member States had to amend the initial provisions from the Treaty and, later, from the specific Regulation. This book aims at studying the evolution of the European Merger Control rules, from the founding treaties till the last European act providing it, in parallel, analysing the caselaw in the field and its influence in the reformation process. The final Reform of the European Merger Control was implemented in 2004, as a consequence of globalization and rapid developments of the markets, including the digital economy, as some amendments were essential for a competitive and innovative European single market, leaving us with a amended procedure which is presented in the present book. |

Introduction to International Investment Law Indexing: |
Download volume in pdf About this book We are in the presence of a recent scientific paper, an analysis prepared with professionalism, which deals with a topic of great relevance in the inter-human and inter-state relations that contemporaneity has brought to today's society. The paper aims to know the international law of investment as a require to understand the connection between international investment and the science of law, and can be used as a subject (course) of university study. Mrs. Cristina Popa Tache, PhD., presented several proposals aimed at contributing to the regulation of the legal regime of foreign investment and concluded that it can be seen that the legal regime of foreign investment can evolve only through cooperation in this area of all specialists to strengthen legislative, economic and social cohesion, by creating a comprehensive legislative framework, as well as by promoting appropriate government policies. I would like to accentuate once again the special value of this research work in the international context of a topic full of interest in current international relations. Recommending the reading of a wide circle of people interested in the field of international foreign investment law, I am convinced that those who know this monograph will considerably enrich their information in view of understanding a very current and useful phenomenon for this field of information and legal culture. |

Customs offenses according to the legislation of the Republic of Moldova and Romania
Download volume in pdf About this book Crime as a phenomenon has a wide expansion in the customs field, causing considerable losses to the state interests of the Republic of Moldova and Romania. Control over the transport of goods and cultural and historical values across the customs border is one of the most important activities of law enforcement. A real danger to the social and state interests is represented by well-established and functional schemes of smuggling of drugs, weapons and ammunition, nuclear materials, import of counterfeit goods, including low-quality consumer products. The importance of this book lies in the fact that the judicial analysis of the customs offenses was carried out based on the generalization of the practical experience accumulated by the Republic of Moldova and Romania under specific social and legal conditions. We are firmly convinced that this work can constitute a solid scientific and methodological support for the literature, especially for the further development of the science of criminal law. Based on their own approaches, obviously formed by the analysis of the theoretical conceptions of the scientists in the researched field, new research orientations are prefigured. Similarly, the importance of this book lies in the possibility of contributing to the improvement of the existing incriminating framework in the field of customs offenses. |

European Administrative Space - recent challenges and evolution prospects |
Download volume in pdf About this book The European Administrative Space can be understood broadly as a space of European public administration and may be the subject of administrative science, a multidisciplinary science, in its concerns entered the classical concept of Staatswissenschaften elements: public law, political science and public economies. European structure can be analyzed from the perspective of these areas that are studied in different proportions also in the national university curricula. In a narrow sense we can speak of administrative law governing this European space. The notion of European administrative space can be thought modeled on European economic and social space, being connected with the legal system-wide cooperation. Traditionally, a common administrative space is possible when a set of legal principles, rules and regulations are respected uniformly in a territory covered by a national constitution. Thus we can speak of each sovereign state administrative law. The issue a law on public administration which fits all sovereign states that joined the EU was debated intensely since the establishment of the European Community. This book is edited with the support of the Romanian Ministry of Research and Innovation. |
